The Certified Public Manager® program is a nationally recognized leadership development program for public managers and supervisors. The Florida Center for Public Management at FSU is an approved provider of CPM training and offers classes around the state, typically on a contract basis to a variety of public and private organizations.

Assignments are available on FCPM’s web portal. Learners log in to edit their student information and submit assignments and exams. Faculty use the portal to post assignments and supplemental materials, review and grade assignments, and track student progress. Administrators use the portal for student enrollment, invoicing, and other functions.

CHALLENGE

The challenge is to provide support for and update the current course management system with new and improved features and functionality to optimize[CD1]  the experience of learners, instructors, and staff. 

SOLUTION

CIMES took over hosting and management of the site: managing the help desk and rollout of new development.

The team will create and test the framework for the new features and configure the new database and enhanced management tools for registration, instruction, grading, recording attendance, distributing course materials, invoicing, communications, generating reports, and more.

CIMES will also create a media center where students sign in to watch assigned videos, redesign the student and administrator interfaces, and implement additional course and learning management tools to improve the overall user experience.
