Attracting Florida Students to Graduate Programs

Each year, Florida's public universities graduate hundreds of students that have the potential to successfully pursue graduate education in fields ranging from biomedical engineering to creative writing. Keeping these talented students in Florida is one way to bolster the state's research and innovation and promote economic development. CIMES created a web portal for universities to recruit prospective graduate students from public and private institutions around the state.

The Graduate Candidate Identification System (GCIS) is a unified site where junior- and senior-level undergraduates at any Florida public university may submit an interest form and invite potential contact from graduate programs, fellowships, summer research programs, and other opportunities in higher education across the state.
