The Bureau of Educator Certification at the Florida Department of Education is responsible for evaluating, granting, and maintaining licensure for Florida educators. The bureau offers its certification partners in Florida’s school districts training and other resources to assist with their responsibilities. In 2017, the bureau launched a new software system, called Versa, to handle its licensing processes and needed to provide training on the system to district partners and staff. Voices for Florida
The Voices for Florida Open Doors Outreach Network seeks to improve care, coordination, and outcomes for commercially sexually exploited and trafficked children. The network uses an innovative approach that engages teams of survivor-mentors, regional staff, and clinicians to provide 24/7 care to recovering victims. CIMES developed and performed a developmental evaluation to assess the effectiveness of the service model at the current pilot sites. The study also identified which aspects of the model need to be maintained and sustained as it is being implemented at new sites and which aspects of the model can be modified to fit the local needs of partner organizations.
